Case of Neck and Shoulder Posture Correction Treatment Using Yin-yang Balancing Therapy of Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ)

Abstract

|
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to report the effect of Korean medical treatment using Yin-yang Balancing Therapy of TMJ (YBT) on correcting posture.
Methods: During the admission period, the patient was treated by Korean medical treatment (YBT, acupuncture, herb medicine, etc) every each day. The standard intraoral balancing appliance was used in patient while sleeping and exercising.
Results: After treatment for 35th, the angle changed from 23 degrees to 0 degree. The posture of the neck and shoulder became straight. The distorted facial midline was aligned straight.
Conclusions: These results showed that YBT have an effect on correcting posture.
